CPIM ECO Exam Guide

The fourth module required to earn your CPIM certification is the Execution and Control of Operations (ECO) module. This module builds on topics covered in the first course and takes a deeper look at planning and operational activities than other modules in the course. A wide range of topics are covered, and students will learn a great deal about operations control and plan execution.

One of the first things candidates will learn during this course is how to identify and then take appropriate corrective actions when a problem develops anywhere within the supply chain. In addition, you will learn how to compare the actual output to what was planned and how to make necessary adjustments and corrections to the situation if the output falls below what was intended. Other key topics include idea communication within a group setting, learning how to instruct or direct other people, how to create operational solutions when dealing with competing resources, as well as how to explain the release of work and reporting performance via the collection of data from areas within the supply chain.

As with the previous module, candidates have three hours to complete the test, which consists of 75 questions. Only 60 of these questions are scored. To pass, you will have to score at least 300 out of a possible 330 (the lowest score on the scale is 265).
