The Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT®) exam, administered by ISACA, is designed for IT and business professionals who direct, manage, advise on, or otherwise support the governance of enterprise IT. This certification validates your skills and knowledge in aligning IT with business strategy, managing IT-enabled investments for maximum return, optimizing IT resources, and mitigating enterprise IT risk across large and complex organizations.
To be eligible, candidates must have at least five years of experience managing, serving in an advisory or oversight role, or otherwise supporting the governance of the IT-related contribution to an enterprise. That experience must span at least three of the four CGEIT domains, include a minimum of one year related to Domain 1 (Governance of Enterprise IT), and fall within the ten years preceding the application date. The CGEIT exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, and candidates have 4 hours to complete the exam. Passing requires a scaled score of 450 out of 800.
