The APICS® Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) exam, also administered by the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), covers a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain from end to end. The CSCP is geared towards professionals who are involved in supply chain management and operations and want to advance their careers by gaining a holistic view of the supply chain.
The APICS® CSCP exam covers topics that span the entire supply chain, from the procurement of raw materials to the delivery of finished goods. Major subject areas include Supply Chain Design, Supply Chain Risks, Supply Chain Relationships, and Optimizing Supply Chain Strategy. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of how to integrate and optimize supply chain processes, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the exam emphasizes knowledge of global supply chain issues, including risk management, compliance, and the use of technology.
Eligibility for the CSCP requires candidates to have three years of related business experience or a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent. The exam includes 150 questions, and the passing score is 300 on a scale of 200 to 350. The certification is valid for five years, after which recertification is required through professional development activities.
