To take a standalone LEED AP specialty exam, candidates must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold an active LEED Green Associate credential or another active LEED AP with Specialty credential
- Agree to GBCI’s disciplinary, appeals, and credential-maintenance requirements
During the v5 beta phase, specialty exams are available only as standalone exams. Candidates must therefore hold an active Green Associate credential before registering.
Prior LEED project experience is strongly recommended but not a mandatory eligibility requirement.
