“My name is Jasmine, and I am heading into my sophomore year of college at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona! I am originally from San Diego, but have grown to love the beauty Arizona has to offer. I am majoring in nursing, currently in an accelerated course to graduate within 3 years as an RN with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My nursing school application requires HESI test scores as an entrance exam, so back in April, I knew I needed to start studying! Pocket Prep was recommended to me by a fellow nursing major friend, so I signed up for an account and began my HESI studying journey.

I began studying random subjects just as a starting point to find my strong vs. weak subject areas. I really liked what Pocket Prep had to offer, so I decided to pay for a monthly subscription.

I relied heavily on Pocket Prep as a study tool, but also used past lecture notes I had taken, as well as a practice booklet I bought off of Amazon. Overall, Pocket Prep was my saving grace! There were so many features available to help create a study routine that made me feel very confident in myself. It was also a plus to have Pocket Prep as both a mobile app as well as the platform online.

One of my favorite features on Pocket Prep was being able to build my own quizzes. My nursing program does not require biology or chemistry on the HESI, so it was nice to be able to unselect those subjects so I am not wasting time studying subjects I don’t need to.

If I ever felt unprepared in a certain subject area, I would build a quiz consisting of only that subject, furthering my knowledge and exposure to that specific material. I also loved being able to flag questions I answered incorrectly, so I was able to revisit it at a later time. Pocket Prep provides a multitude of questions, offering explanations to each question, as well as providing statistics on your scores.

Throughout my study process, I felt extremely prepared and confident in the knowledge I had learned. It turns out I was very prepared, passing my HESI A-2 exam with an overall score of 93.2! I would highly recommend this program as a core study tool, and plan to use it again in the future to study for my NCLEX exam.”
